DJ Station in the Silom district, the largest LGBT destination area of Bangkok, is one of the most well-known gay party spot in the city. A large multi-level dance and drink spot, DJ Station has much to offer for the 300 Baht cover charge (which includes 2 drinks). There is a fun drag show at about 11 PM, a world-class light system, and what amounts to an alleyway lined with bars.
Some regulars at the gay spot are not too happy with recent changes such as the relocation of the DJ Station console to the middle of the dance floor, and the addition of interior stairways to the upper levels (3 floors), but the experience is undiminished and the good times roll from 9 PM to 2 AM every night. As things go on to the early hours, the shirts come off and the crowd rocks!
The place is super easy to get to as it is about 100 meters from BTS Sala Daeng station, and there are many excellent places to eat close to the entrance for a nice dinner beforehand. The best nearby hotels for LGBT travellers are the Crowne Plaza and across the main road is the Amara Hotel- both 4+ star locations next to the fabulous Lumpini park. DJ Station is the attraction, the freedom afforded by the area makes it a favourite destination as a gay spot. More about LGBT Friendly Bangkok
